How we work

Bathrooms are not cheap. Anyone telling you otherwise is either cutting a corner you cannot see, or does not have expert trades people on their team.

We would rather explain where the money actually goes than win the job on a number we cannot build to. None of which means we spend a dollar more than we have to. Good design and smart selections are exactly where the savings live.

01

It is the smallest room with the most trades

Demolition, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, waterproofing, screeding, tiling, glazier, plasterer, painter. Up to ten different trades move through a space the size of a car park bay, each one booked, scheduled and paid. The room is small. The coordination is not, and that is most of what you are paying for.

02

Fixtures are the other half of the number

Vanity, mixer, toilet, shower screen, wastes, floor tiles, wall tiles, tapware, heated rail, lighting, exhaust. A bathroom needs more individual products per square metre than any other room in the house, and the gap between the version that lasts three years and the one that lasts fifteen is real money.

03

The parts you cannot see are the ones that fail

Waterproofing, substrate, falls to the drain. None of it is photogenic and none of it is optional. Skipping it is exactly how a quote comes in surprisingly low and a bathroom comes back up five years later at your expense.

04

Where we do save you money

Design is the cheapest lever there is. Keeping fixtures on existing plumbing walls where the layout allows it, choosing a tile format that halves the labour rather than doubles it, picking the fixture that performs identically for less. We find the savings in the decisions, never in the waterproofing.

05

Then we show you where every dollar sits

Your proposal is itemised line by line, trades and fixtures separated, so you can see what is driving the number and decide for yourself what to spend on and what to leave. You are not handed one figure and asked to trust it.

Two ways to find out

The usual way, and our way.

Chasing three builders

Six weeks. Still guessing.

  • Three site visits to arrange around work
  • Three quotes scoped three different ways
  • Design and selections still your problem
  • Variations that show up in week three
  • Two of them never call you back at all

Average time to a number you trust: weeks.

Our way

Forty seconds. Then a real number.

  • Six questions from your couch, no visit to schedule
  • One itemised proposal you can hold up against anyone
  • Design and selections done and already costed
  • Documented up front so variations stay rare
  • You hear back within 1 business day

Time it takes you: about 40 seconds.

Stop guessing. Get the number in 40 seconds.

No obligation, no site visit, and you will know more about your renovation than most people do after three builders have been through the house.

How it works

Three steps from curiosity to a real number.

Step one

Choose a design range (below)

Flip through the portfolios and pick the direction that feels like your home. Every selection inside is already costed, so choosing a look is also choosing a price bracket.

Step two

Send measurements and photos

Length, width, ceiling height and a couple of photos of the room. A tape measure and your phone camera is all it takes.

Step three

Get your indicative proposal

An itemised scope of works and a realistic number, priced from current Queensland trade and supply rates. Usually in your inbox within 1 business day.

Design ranges

Three levels of design.
Thirty plus concepts.
Pick the one that feels like you.

Every renovation starts with a concept. Thirty plus curated concepts across three portfolios. Flip through, choose a direction, and your estimate gets built around it.

Nothing is locked in either. Pick a concept you like and we can still change individual pieces, the vanity, the tapware colour, whatever is not quite you.

Email me the portfolios

Everything you need, nothing you do not.

Large format tiling, quality Australian fixtures and a layout that works harder than it looks. The range most families land on, and the easiest one to keep on budget.

8 concepts inside

Upgraded finishes, without premium pricing.

Warmer materials, feature niches, timber look joinery and better tapware. The step up people notice the moment they walk in, and the range most clients choose.

10 concepts inside
Most popular

Statement tiles, custom niches, premium fixtures.

Designed around your space rather than a template. Stone, brass, custom joinery and lighting that has actually been thought about. This is the one people photograph.

12 concepts inside

Not sure which one? Answer the six questions and we will send the portfolio that matches your budget and taste, plus the two either side of it, so you can compare.

What lands in your inbox

Not a number on a napkin.

Six of these arrive with every proposal. Every one of them is included in the way we price, not billed on top.

Get mine

Design concept and selections

A full finishes and fixtures schedule, so nothing is left to "we will pick that later", which is exactly where budgets go missing.

Itemised scope of works

Line by line, in plain English. You can see exactly what you are paying for and, just as usefully, what you are not.

Real Queensland rates

Priced from current local trade and supply rates, not a national average and not a number pulled from last year's job.

Fixture and finish schedule

Every tap, tile, vanity and towel rail listed with a price beside it. Swap anything and watch the number move.

Timeline and staging

How long each stage takes and, importantly, how many days you will be living without a bathroom.

Variations kept honest

Documented up front, so the number you sign is the number you pay, barring the genuinely unforeseeable behind old walls.

In their words

The part we are proudest of.

They took our scattered ideas and turned them into a clear vision with amazing design. The plans were detailed enough that we never got hit with costly variations halfway through.

Rita made the whole experience seamless and enjoyable, and we came out around $15,000 ahead of what we had been quoted elsewhere for the same spaces.

What you can hold us to

Four promises, in writing.

Quick and hassle free

Six questions from the comfort of your home. No site visit to schedule, no forms to print, no waiting on builders to call you back. You get a real number without rearranging your week around it.

One call, about your bathroom

We do phone you, because five minutes on the phone helps us get your pricing right. It is a briefing call to get your brief right, not a pitch, and it is us calling rather than a call centre.

Selections, however you like

We are happy to recommend and provide every selection for you, and plenty of people take us up on it. Most would rather see things in person though, so we work closely with a number of local showrooms who sit down with you, help you finalise everything and make sure you are completely happy before a thing is ordered.

Why there is a site inspection

Your indicative number comes from your measurements and photos. Turning it into a quote you can sign means a licensed builder standing in the room, measuring it properly and checking nothing has been overlooked. That inspection is $300 plus GST, and the fee is deducted when you proceed with the renovation.

Frequently Asked Questions

How accurate is the calculator/estimate?

Our calculator is designed to give you a realistic price based on your bathroom size, design choice, and the specific work involved. Most final quotes come in close to the estimate, but the exact price is confirmed after a builder does a site inspection and your selections are locked in.

Why does my bathroom size affect the price so much?

Tiling, waterproofing, and labour are all calculated per square metre, so a larger bathroom naturally costs more. The calculator accounts for your wall and floor areas separately, which is why entering accurate dimensions gives you a much more reliable number.

What's included in the estimate price?

The estimate covers demolition, waterproofing, tiling, trade labour (plumbing, electrical, tiling), fixture supply, and project management.

The estimate seems higher than I expected, is this normal?

Bathroom renovations in Australia are commonly underestimated. A full reno involves multiple licensed trades, waterproofing compliance, and supply of fixtures, it adds up very quickly. Our pricing reflects real Queensland trade rates, so you're not hit with surprise costs later.

What happens after I submit my details?

Once you submit, our team reviews your estimate and will call and discuss the estimate with you to ensure everything is included. We will then connect you with a trusted local builder from our network. They'll reach out to introduce themselves and arrange a free site inspection at a time that suits you. Final site inspections may incur a site consult fee.

How long does it take to hear back?

In most cases you'll be contacted within 1–2 business days. If your project is in a high-demand area it may take a little longer, but we'll always follow up to make sure you're looked after.

Who actually does the Renovation? Atorii or a Builder?

The physical build is carried out by a licensed local builder we connect you with.
Atorii handles all the design work, Design drawings, 3D visuals, fixture selections, and documentation, so both you and the builder have a clear picture of the finished space before work begins.

Can I change my design after submitting?

Absolutely. The estimate and concept you choose are just a starting point. During the design process you'll have the chance to adjust fixtures, finishes, and layout. Changes that affect cost will be flagged before anything is locked in.

Does the design service cost me anything extra?

No. Atorii's design service is provided as part of the renovation process, it's not an added fee to you as the homeowner. It's how we make sure the builder can quote and build accurately from day one.

All builders allow for design and documentation in their quotes.

What's the difference between Essential, Elevate and Signature?

Essential is clean, modern, and budget-focused, everything you need without unnecessary extras.

Elevate steps up the finishes and gives you more choice while staying mid-range on price.

Signature is our premium range with statement tiles, custom niches, shelf walls, and top-tier fixtures throughout.

How do you select the builders you work with?

We partner with a small number of licensed, experienced builders per region, not a broad marketplace. Each builder is vetted before joining and we monitor feedback over time. We only refer you to someone we'd confidently recommend to our own family.
We do suggest you do your own checks. QBCC and Reviews before committing to the contract.

Is there a cost for the final builder’s inspection?

Yes, there is a small fee for the final builder’s inspection.
Our builders are in high demand, and their time on site is valuable. The inspection fee is $250 + GST, which will be deducted from your final quote if you choose to proceed with the renovation.
